Heat Pump Installation - Taby
Client: HSB Taby
Termoekonomi has installed two heat pumps in Taby north of Stockholm that supplies 2,500 apartments with heat. The heat pump was installed in connection with an existing central boiler plant. The heat pumps delivers 65 % of the yearly heating demand in the district. The rest of the demand is supplied by oil fuelled boilers and boilers running on electricity. The heat pump covers the whole heat demand in the area at outdoor temperatures above +8 °C.
The heat pumps consists of two units with screw compressors. Conversion from R 12 (CFC 12) to R 134a (HFC 134a) was performed in 1994. Heat is recovered from around 2,100 apartments to the secondary refrigerant system via approximately 50 exhaust air units in the attics and on the roofs. To prevent freezing, the water in the heat recovery loop contains 20 % ethyl alcohol. The heat is rejected from the condensers to the district heating system.
Type of assignment: Turnkey contract (SeK 14 million) Condenser capacity: 0.8-3.3 MW. Heat rejection: 23 GWh per year Maximum heat pump supply temperature: 73 °C. Yearly COP, total: 2.60 |
